Employment Authorization Document
What is an EAD?
Employment Authorization Documents, known as EAD’s, allow immigrants to legally work in the United States. The EAD is proof to an employer that you are able to work through the expiration date of the EAD. You must apply to renew your EAD before it expires, so you do not lose your right to work.
Need an EAD
You will need an EAD to show you can legally work in the United States if you are eligible to work in the United States because of a pending residency application or status as an asylee, refugee or U-Visa holder. Vive Immigration can help you apply for your EAD to ensure there are no delays.

EAD Renewals
Need to file an EAD renewal? The answer is yes, if your EAD is about to expire or has already expired. This process may be complicated as your eligibility depends on a number of factors. Do not leave your right to work up to chance. Speak to an experienced attorney at Vive Immigration to make sure your EAD renewal is properly filed.
Can I Replace a Lost, Stolen or Incorrect EAD?
You will need to replace your EAD if it becomes lost, stolen or has incorrect information on it. This is the same process as applying for the EAD. Under certain circumstances, you may even be able to get the government to waive the filing fee. This is common with fee waivers and if the mistake on the EAD is the government’s fault.
Don’t wait to contact Vive Immigration if you need to apply for an EAD, renew your EAD or want to know if you are eligible for an EAD to work in the United States.
